Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program

The demand for reliable bedside nursing care remains strong across settings such as hospitals, home health agencies, and long-term care facilities. The State tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), plays an important role, providing basic private home care in Columbus, Ohio, while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. Buckeye Health Agency, LLC’s STNA/CNA Training Program, offered through the Health Career Institute, prepares the student for immediate employment as a nursing assistant.

The STNA/CNA Training Program holds full approval from the Ohio Department of Health.

CURRICULUM
The STNA/CNA Training Program is a 75-hour (2-week) certificate program offered many times a year. Classroom instruction includes an introduction to healthcare, basic nursing skills, body structure and function, infection control, CPR, and the job-seeking process. Students also participate in supervised clinical activities. Upon successful completion of the program, students are certified as nursing assistants in the state of Ohio.

ADMISSION
All applicants must provide the following for admission to the STNA/CNA Training Program: Minimum age of 17 years or older, be able to read and write in English. A school transcript or GED (General Education Development) equivalent is not a requirement but if you have it, it be your advantage.

  • Proof of two forms of ID.
  • Completed application with deposit
  • Completion of all healthcare safety requirements before entering clinical courses.

Applications to the STNA/CNA Training Program are due on bases of first come first serve. Call 614-899-2478 for application information.
